How are my documents shred?
Your documents are emptied into rolling containers and then taken to shred trucks located within feet. The container is lifted and emptied into the shredder with the shredded documents being emptied into the secure storage area of the truck. Amplify then takes all the shredded documents to have them processed and recycled.
Will my documents be destroyed on-site while I wait?
We make every effort to destroy documents on-site with the mobile shredding units. However, if the demand is great causing the mobile shredding units to fill all documents will be put into the rolling bins and then taken in secure trucks to be shred at Amplify's facilities.
Will you dispose of my cardboard boxes?
We cannot accept cardboard boxes. After documents are put into bins for shredding, boxes will be returned.
Why is Grand Prairie Crime Stoppers having a Shred It event?
Grand Prairie Crime Stoppers is a non-profit organization whose mission is to keep those who live, work, or play in Grand Prairie safe. We are not a part of the Grand Prairie Police Department and are not funded by the City of Grand Prairie. Funds generated from this event are used to reward anonymous tips resulting in an arrest and for supporting community programs with a focus on safety.
